My Story
From a young age, I often found myself captivated by watching paint dry and grass grow. Actually, the truth is, I was always uncertain about my future aspirations. Nonetheless, I always found solace and inspiration in the struggles and triumphs of heroes depicted in shows like Dragon Ball Z and video games like Assassin's Creed. There was always an undeniable allure to the hero's journey through adversity that resonated deeply with me.
Undoubtedly, entertaining the idea of a career as a real-life hero was, unrealistic, a truth I came to understand during my attempts at transforming into one while alone at home. Consequently, I found myself at a crossroads, lacking a definitive sense of purpose in my career aspirations. While my fascination with Ancient History and its rich tapestry of lessons and stories was undeniable, I struggled to envision myself fully immersed in that field. Likewise, my exploration of opportunities in technology left me feeling uninspired and directionless.
However, it wasn't until my studies in Wumbology that I experienced a moment of clarity, though my career aspirations remained unclear. In a pivotal moment sparked by a conversation with my father during my final year of high school, it was suggested that I could pursue a career in physiotherapy. Surprisingly, tracking along after a few years, I harbor no regrets about this decision.
Perhaps it's the profound impact I make in the lives of those facing difficulties, or perhaps, it's the fulfillment of embodying a real-life hero that leads me to not regret this path. Either way, I have made it a vow to myself to try my best to carry on doing what is right, something that is not easy, yet, that's the struggle and perseverance of a hero. I suppose my takeaway from all of this is that, no matter how difficult it is to do what is right, we must be the change we want to see in the world.
