Our values take their names from the Greek tradition behind Pegasus Peak. Each stands for a part of how we approach care, and all three apply at every stage of it.
Pegasus Peak is a physiotherapy practice in South West Sydney with clinics in Horningsea Park (2171) and Gregory Hills (2557). These three values guide every appointment at both clinics.
Say EL-pis. The goal that brings a person to us, taken seriously and turned into a clear plan.
Emblem: Pegasus, who sprang from Medusa's fall: something good born of something hard.
Say DEE-na-mis. The capacity to rebuild and keep going. Greek physicians used the word for the body's own natural powers.
Emblem: The flame-bearer, after Prometheus, who carried fire to humankind and endured, unbroken.
Say AH-reh-tee. Excellence of skill and of character: doing the right thing, and doing it well.
Emblem: Achilles, who chose a short life of greatness over a long one without it: excellence measured not by how long we stand, but by what we stand for.
From Medusa's blood, Pegasus was born; from death, a creature destined for the heavens. For even when fate brings us to our knees, it may yet give us wings. Elpis is the hope that our darkest hour need not be our final chapter.
The gods bound Prometheus in chains, yet could not chain the fire he had given mankind. For the body may bend beneath the weight of suffering, but the spirit need not bow. Dynamis is the flame that endures when all else has turned to ash.
Achilles was promised neither a long life nor a gentle death, yet chose a glory that would outlive the gods' cruelty. For greatness is not measured by how long we stand, but by what we stand for. Arete is the pursuit of excellence, even when the summit lies beyond our reach.
A clear explanation of what we find, what the plan is and why, with honest timeframes. You should leave every appointment knowing where you stand and what comes next.
The principles we work by, alongside the Code of conduct that applies to every registered physiotherapist in Australia. They decide how we assess, how we treat and when we refer on.
A practice run with the discipline of an institution, in the treatment room and in the terms of every arrangement it enters, from local clubs to the clinics and insurers we work with.
You are asked what you want to get back to, not just where it hurts. That goal is Elpis, and it becomes the measure of the plan.
The assessment and the likely cause are explained in plain language, and the plan comes with honest timeframes. Exercise and hands-on treatment are chosen to rebuild capacity rather than to fill appointments. That is Dynamis.
If physiotherapy is not the right path, we say so and help you find the right one. Arete is the standard over all of it: doing the right thing, and doing it well.
The standard of care is the same whichever way an appointment is funded. Private, NDIS, Workers Compensation, Medicare and DVA appointments bring different paperwork, and we treat that documentation with the same care as the treatment itself.
Every physiotherapist at Pegasus Peak is registered with AHPRA and works under the Physiotherapy Board of Australia's Code of conduct. The pillars sit alongside that code rather than replacing it. If something falls short, call or email the clinic and ask for Kosta.
Book through Book Online or visit the Horningsea Park clinic or Gregory Hills clinic pages for addresses, parking and hours.
The pillars sit alongside the professional standards every AHPRA-registered physiotherapist works under. They are set by Kosta Logothetis, founding physiotherapist, and Yanni Logothetis, managing director, and you can read our story or see how they shape our physiotherapy services, NDIS physiotherapy and Workers Compensation physiotherapy. Partner programs such as The Severs Centre and Harrington United FC run under the same standard.
